I’m crossing my fingers! I just purchased a USB bluetooth adapter off of ebay for 3 bucks (with free shipping). Yes, it’s shipping from china and it’ll take approximately two weeks to get here but still, it’s 3 bucks. After browsing at different brands on newegg which averaged about $20 with shipping costs, I thought I’d take a chance with ebay. I only need the adapter to transfer customized ringtones onto my cell phone. apparently the service provider locks all their phones so that they can charge $2 to $3 for a crummy ringtone. But after investigating different user forums, I’ve found that transferring mp3 files via bluetooth can bypass it all. I’ll probably post a how-to once I verify that it works on my phone. I’m just wondering how these folks on ebay can make any money by charging three bucks for these adapters? I checked the feedback on this particular seller and he had over 99% positives. So we’ll see how it goes. I’m just hankerin’ to put some customized mp3 ringtones on my phone so that I won’t have to hear the default ringers everytime the phone goes off!
