You are now free to be who you want to be, and to do all those young person things but in an ironic self-knowing way. Life not only begins at 40, but one can also enjoy youthful pursuits without being left gormless by hormones and the need to appear cool. Of course you can also not do any of these things and become an old buffer in waiting.
