NO, you need a coupon from the reading program bookmark.

I just called BGW, and spoke with someone there, and they said you need a reading program coupon from your local library, as well. My kids are participating in our summer reading program, so I called our library (Prince William County, VA) and they had never heard of it, so I would be curious to see which counties are participating!

from what I understand, BGW will accept a library card for the discount b/c a lot of libraries never received the summer reading program coupons. I guess it depends on who you talk to in customer service.

again, my colleague explained this to the person at the ticket window and was successful in getting the discount.

but who knows, I guess “your mileage may vary”. good luck!

I called twice today to see what they would say, but both times they said the coupon must be present. My local library (NYC) does not know anything about this and BG said NY was participating. I just sent BG an email and am awaiting their response. Keep ur fingers crossed.

Well I got a response from BG and here it is:

Thank you for your interest in Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
The Summer Reading Program is now in effect for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA tickets. A child 18 years and younger must present a Summer Reading card for 2009 (this is a tear off coupon from the bottom of a bookmark) gotten at their Library. This program only includes libraries in VA, NC, DC, MD, PA and NY. There is a tear off card coupon on the bottom of a bookmark, that must be presented by a student 18 years or younger in order to receive 25% off single-day admission at either Busch Gardens Williamsburg & Water Country USA for up to 6 people, (student plus 5 guests). The dates for the Summer Reading Promotion for Busch Gardens & Water Country USA is as follows:
